Schwer

MAÍRA's new single is as heavy and as comforting as a weighted blanket. “Schwer” is for cuddling up and folding yourself up, origami with body and soul, when it gets dark outside early again and the summer promise of lightness is blown away by the wind and lost in the storm. When your steps and your head become heavy and you fall into bed alone, “Schwer” lies down next to you and gives you back the trust in your gut feeling. Open your eyes, open the windows:

“Durch es schwers Gedankegwitter, langsam liechtet sich’s wieder.”

“Schwer” is the second single from MAÍRA’s upcoming EP “Unfold” – the response to the band’s first release “Fold”. Their second EP is a reawakening, an unfolding, despite all the fear, perhaps thanks to it. MAÍRA play with the three languages of singer Maira Zaugg and countless sounds, from harps to field recordings, all of which unfold anew in the production of Ti Kuhn, accompanied by co-producer and drummer Simon Guyer.
